HANDS ON DC

Pathways to Purpose: Empowering DC Youth for Careers That Matter

Training. Mentorship. Real Opportunity.

What is Hands On DC?

Hands On DC is a pre-apprenticeship and career readiness initiative designed for DC’s out-of-school youth ages 16–24. Led by community advocate George Adusi, our 20-week program equips participants with life-changing skills, certifications, and paid work experience in industries like construction, healthcare, IT, and cosmetology.

Whether you’re preparing for your first job, exploring new career paths, or overcoming personal challenges, our wraparound support model — including mentorship, financial literacy, and job placement — ensures every participant is set up for long-term success.

Who We Serve

Youth ages 16–24 in DC facing employment barriers, including low-income, justice-involved, or parenting individuals.

How It Work?
